KBOO is returning to broadcast the Good in the Hood Festival from King School Park! This annual festival is the largest of its type in the Pacific Northwest. It opens with a parade that travels through Northeast Portland and ends at the site of the festival. The event runs from Saturday, June 24 to Sunday, June 25 from noon to 8pm. Good in the Hood is a great community party and this event should be loads of fun.
We are looking for Live Anchors to be paired with our Experienced Live Anchors to gain experience at live remotes. The shifts are 4 hours each over the two days. There will be about 20 minutes to fill between music sets and anchors will conduct some interviews and fill time with information from the anchor binder. Roughly two breaks per shift. Experienced anchors can sign up for this shift but should try to sign up for the Experienced slot first.
The shift times are about 95% locked in, but could shift slightly as the event schedule is tweaked.
