KBOO is returning to broadcast the Good in the Hood Festival from Lillis-Albina Park! This annual festival is the largest of its type in the Pacific Northwest. It opens with a parade that travels through Northeast Portland and ends at the site of the festival. The event runs from Saturday, June 28 to Sunday, June 29 from noon to 9pm. Good in the Hood is a great community party and this event should be loads of fun.
We are looking for Assistant Producers to work 3.75 to 4 hour shifts over the two days. You will:
- Go over all interview materials with anchors
- Keep the anchor table clean and organized
- Listen for other production cues from the producer given by producing (engineer, KBOO staff supervisor, etc. ...) team.
- Monitor the broadcast while the head producer is finding interviews
If you sign up for the last shifts of the night, cleanup and tear down (for Sunday night) are built into the shift. Please plan on helping to pack up.
The shift times are about 95% locked in, but could shift slightly as the event schedule is tweaked.
