Lend your voice to record the promo script below!

*Please be sure to select "RSVP" to let us know you are taking on this opportunity

Recording Details

If you can, please place your completed audio in this folder: Promo Audio Submitted by the deadline: 11/17/2025
If you are unable to access the folder, you can email your audio file to Engagement@kboo.org Accepted file types: WAV, FLAC, or MP3Promos should not exceed 45 seconds ideally
Please make sure to watch your levels, so your voice doesn't clipAccording to FCC regulations, music beds are NOT allowed in underwriting promos

Where and how to record your promo:
If you have taken Introduction to Studio Production, you can check out a production studio (by email volunteer@kboo.org) and record/mix your promo at the station in a production studio!

You may also produce the promo remotely if you wish! If you don't have any equipment, a smartphone with a basic recording app works just fine, but please be mindful of audio quality.

Pro Tip for recording at home: Record in a dense space, surrounding yourself with blankets and pillows can help absorb reverb and white noise. Closets usually work great for this! You can also place a sock over your phone speaker to act as a pop filter.

Pro Tip for recording at home: Record in a dense space, surrounding yourself with blankets and pillows can help absorb reverb and white noise. Closets usually work great for this! You can also place a sock over your phone speaker to act as a pop filter.
