Afro-Pop Culture Festival Producer

Description

KBOO will be broadcasting live from the Afro-Pop Culture Festival on June 19! The goal of the festival is to share Afro-pop culture, bring people together, and build diverse roots. The broadcast will entail live music, story telling, interviews, and a fashion show. The event is being held at Ethos Music Center on 2 N Killingsworth Street.

We've never broadcasted a fashion show before, so there will be some experimentation and producers will have to be ready to adjust on the fly. It should be a ton of fun.

This position is for people ready to take charge of a production. You will signal when to cut from the stage to the anchors and back, give signals to the anchors of when to stretch or wrap up, and prepare the anchors for what scripts they should read and when. It should be a very fun, active, and dynamic position. The shifts are from 2:30pm to 5pm and 4:30pm to 7pm.

The duration of the show is a little awkward, so shifts are short, but if you want to sign up for both shifts, feel free to do so. People signed up for the last shift are expected to help pack the gear up at the end of the broadcast.
