We are seeking a DJ for our next First Friday Art Walk on February 7th, from 8 to 10 PM.
February's theme is Valentine's Day!
The Art Walk DJ's role is to spin some tunes and interview the artists, musicians, and event goers. Your playlist should match the vibe of the event, which ranges from indie acoustic, singer-songwriter, to pop and R&B.
We will provide you with the musician line-up, some suggested interview questions, and
pitch language to remind the listeners to come check out the event.
If you can help research the potential on-air guests and prepare interview questions, that would be a huge help!
Please be sure to arrive by 7:40 PM to prep. You will be trading off with the other Art Walk DJ (Shift 6-8 PM). You will also work with the band wrangler (volunteer) to bring your on-air guests to the booth at a pace that works for your programming.
Prerequisites: FCC Legal Training, Board Operator Training,
If you are a newer on-air volunteer, we can make sure a staff member is available to support you as needed.
